Latvian retailer Rimi Baltic invests €75m in warehouse construction and office extension

Rimi Baltic, a Latvian retailer owning one of the largest in the Baltic states retail networks, plans to build in Riga, the capital city of Latvia, a logistic center at the cost of 75 million euro.




According to the company's documentation, warehouses with a total area of over 70,000 square meters are planned to be constructed within the framework of the project. Investments will amount to 64 million euro.

Apart from that, extension of the central office building of the company is intended to be realized, what will require some additional 11 million euro.

The construction activities are scheduled to be completed by 2018.

Rimi Baltic is owned by ICA Gruppen AB, the Sweden's largest food retailer. At present, the network includes 119 sales outlets.
