A number of real estate transactions made with Russian might be annulled in Finland, the matter concerns property located near Finnish strategically important military facilities, Yle reports.
According to Suna Kumalainen, a member of Finish Parliament, the Defense Ministry is currently examining the real estate transactions made in the vicinity of strategically important objects with citizens of the countries outside the EU. As it was reported earlier in the local media, the matter concerns mostly Russians.
The conclusion will be drawn in March, after what a number of amendments to the national legislation will be made. Suna Kumalainen personally intends to come up with an initiative to introduce individual permits for non-EU citizens.
