Construction of an aquarium with an area of 180,000 square meters is scheduled to be launched in the Russian city of St Petersburg in the second half of this year, chairman of the Investment City Committee, Irina Babyuk, told reporters on Monday.
According to her, investments in the construction activities at the site and its equipping will reach 15 billion rubles.
So, a full range of species composition of fish from the whole world will be collected there. Also, a pool for crocodiles and two theatres for orca whales are planned to be constructed there.
The aquarium’s visitors will have a chance to watch a show “Shark’s feeding” and will be offered to scuba dive.
