Construction of the Kerch Bridge in Crimea prompted an increase in the number of dolphins in the strait. There were times that experts happened to count over a thousand of dolphins, including some 200 Black Sea bottlenose dolphins.
As Construction.RU was told today by Krymsky Most media center with the reference to the assumptions made by fish biologists, this could be explained by a tenfold increase in population of golden grey and black mullets, in comparison with autumn 2015.
Experts define the registered number of dolphins as high. Also, the bridge’s highway remains a birds migration point.
“Over the course of 2016, the ecological monitoring has given evidence of the absence of significant impact of the construction on environment,” engineer Oksana Fursova said.
