Following an explosion and fire, which took place at the Torrens Island power station located in the north of Adelaide, South Australia, the authorities announced the cancellation of repair of network scheduled for this week, the Australian reports.
There was no prolonged blackouts in local houses after the incident. The fire at the Torrens Island power station has been extinguished by the Metropolitan Fire Service after 3.30 pm. However, the local authorities called on home owners to conserve energy last night.
All available generation was switched on last night, and there was no clear information on how long Torrens Island’s capacity will be restored.
