“Novye Proyekty” (The New Projects), a private company unknown in the industry, has received a Russian license for exploration and production of oil and gas on Crimea’s shelf, Kommersant newspaper writes.
According to official data, the main shareholder of the company is a businessman Anton Dornostup, who is close to the family of the former head of the Federal Agency for Subsoil Usage (Rosnedra), Valery Pak.
However, a number of the newspaper’s sources link “Novye Proyekty” with the fugitive Ukrainian businessman Sergey Kurchenko. At the same time, the company that obtained a license under the existing for the Crimea act on simplified procedure, just a while ago, in year 2015, neither had assets, nor conducted any business activities.
