EuroChem, a leading global nitrogen and phosphate fertilizers producing company headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, will decide on the construction of a plant for the production of ammonia and urea in Louisiana, the USA, within the next two years, the company's CEO Dmitry Strezhnev told RNS.
“Don’t write off this issue. We have a plot of land, we carried out a feasibility study, the matter concerns nothing but the market conditions. We will certainly build it, but when — it will be an internal solution. We have a plan to build three or four plants. First we are building in Russia, and within the next two years will decide upon (the rest — editor’s note)”, he said.
Previously it was reported that EuroChem did not consider the construction of a plant for production of ammonia and urea in Louisiana as a priority project.
