Kalashnikov concern, incorporated in Rostec state corporation, has started monitoring of pipeline systems with the use of drones.

As the press service of the company reported, the monitoring of these objects is carried out, in particular, within the framework of joint projects with Russian oil and gas companies of Rosneft, Bashneft and Gazprom.

“A monthly amount of monitoring of pipelines range from 9.5 to 11.5 thousand km”, — as it follows from the message.

The document specifies that two mobile groups are operating at each field, as well as command and control centres are established there. The flights are carried out both in the daytime, and in the early morning hours using thermal imaging cameras. ZALA 421-16E and ZALA 421-16ЕМ drones are exploited to monitor facilities.
