As early as late April, Legrand, a French manufacturer of electrical equipment, will begin construction of a new enterprise in the Ulyanovsk region, Russia.
According to local media, the third enterprise of the investor on the territory of Russia will also be located in “Zavolzhie” industrial zone.
Meanwhile, a part of production capacities will be moved from “Kontaktor” plant to the new spaces, while the released area will be reconstructed.
Legrand intends to invest about 1 billion rubles in a new project and employ 300 residents of the Ulyanovsk region. The new facility is scheduled to be put in operation in 2018.
The company has already had a production facility on the territory of Kontaktor plant, purchased in 2007, as well as a manufacture in Zavolzhie industrial park.
