$26m concert complex to be built at children’s camp in Crimea

The Cabinet of Ministers of Russia has allocated 1.5 billion rubles ($26 million) to the construction of a concert complex at Artek children’s camp in Crimea for 4,5 thousand seats.




This amount of funds is provided for in the Federal budget for 2017 within the framework of the federal target program “Social and Economic Development of Crimea and Sevastopol by Year 2020”, the press office of the Russian government reports.

According to director of Artek children’s center, Alexey Kasprzhak, the concert complex will be located on a large campfire at “Forest” camp.

“This will allow us to bring together all children from “Artek”. The venue will host indoor rostrum, suggesting the possibility to gather there at any time of the year. There will be provided technical solutions for heating”, — Kasprzak said.

As a reference, Artek is an international children center on the Black Sea located on the Crimean peninsula, established in 1925.
