The Russian Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case over the murder of Russia’s former lawmaker, Denis Voronenkov, who was killed in Kiev, a source close to the investigation told RIA Novosti news agency.
We should remind you that the former member of Russian Parliament, Denis Voronenkov, moved to Ukraine with his wife, Maria Maksakova, and after that was granted Ukrainian citizenship at the end of the last year. On the 23rd of March, the ex-lawmaker was shot dead in Kiev, the capital city of Ukraine.
Earlier, Ukraine initiated a criminal case over Voronenkov’s murder. The investigation found that the killer, Pavel Parshov, was a citizen of Ukraine and had previously served in the National Guard.
