Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation has won a tender held by Tokyo for the development of a neutron detector, the head of the Russian company, Alexey Likhachev, said in a Sunday interview to “Russia 24” TV channel over the course of his working visit to Japan.

According to Alexey Likhachev, the “most specific project” is the activities at the site of Fukushima nuclear power plant.

“On the one hand, a progress that our Japanese partners have made in the protection from the accident consequences is notable, but now the work is at a stage, when the more you do, the more remains to do. In this sense, we have offered our expertise. It is not just technologically very effective, it is also economically attractive, because the scale of this work requires tens of billions of dollars”, - Likhachev noted.
