Zoomlion, a Chinese manufacturer of construction machinery and sanitation equipment company, intends to build a factory to produce components for Chinese-Belarusian machinery, as it follows from the company’s press release.
The partner is Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ). The construction of the enterprise, which is planned to be located in the industrial park near the Belarusian capital of Minsk, will cost $45 million. The first products will roll off the production line in 2019. The car is planned to be produced by SKD method: Chinese detachable equipment will be mounted on Belarusian chassis. Subsequently, the depth of localization is expected to grow.
The Belarusian-Chinese tandem plans, primarily, to develop a line of truck-mounted cranes, municipal and road-building equipment. Emergency vehicles will be supplied to Russia, Ukraine and in Europe.
