Swedish IKEA, which owns a chain of stores selling furniture and household goods, announced on Thursday the launch of an online store for the Russian cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Since April 20, the online store has become available for residents of Moscow and the region within the Moscow Small Ring, and since April 24, it will start operating for Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad region. The service is also available in several cities of the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal districts of Russia.

Over the course of the year 2017, IKEA will launch online sales in the regions of the company’s presence, as well as in cities and regions with high levels of Internet penetration and a potentially great interest in online shopping.
