The parties intend to cooperate in such areas as energy, mining, transportation, refining of hydrocarbons and the development of a continental shelf of the Russian Federation.
Within the framework of 2017 St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Gazprom Neft has made a strategic partnership agreement with Siemens AG. The document was signed by Chairman of Board Gazprom Neft Alexander Dyukov and President of Siemens AG Joe Kaeser.
The partners will consider the possibility of using high-tech solutions and components made by Siemens at the facilities of Gazprom Neft. The matter concerns drilling and power generating equipment, including that for gas turbine and steam turbine power plants, as well as for oil refineries.
