On Thursday, a new runway for high capacity aircrafts has been put in operation in the international airport of the Russian city of Krasnodar.
This is what director of Basel Aero, a company managing the airport, Leonid Sergeev, told reporters. According to him, the length of a new concrete runway amounts to 3 kilometers, with the width of 60 meters.
The volume of investments in the construction activities totaled 4,6 billion rubles.
Building a new modern runway is part of the project for the reconstruction and development of the airport in Krasnodar. The main taxi strip has already been reconstructed there, the main runway has been repaired, utility systems have been replaced.
