Heineken, a Dutch brewing group operating in 70 companies, has agreed to sell its assets in Belarus to Oasis, a local juice and beer manufacturer, and is leaving Belarusian market, Reuters reports with reference to the company.
The matter concerns a brew-house in Bobruisk, which Heineken acquired in 2007.
“Heineken and Oasis have agreed to merge their subsidiaries in Belarus into one company that will be owned and operated by Oasis,” the message reads.
However, Heineken brands will maintain presence on the Belarusian market. The company has not revealed a value of assets and an expected timing of the transaction, noting that the deal requires regulatory approval.
