Turkish Limak to build an airport terminal in Russian Far East

A new terminal of the international airport in the Russian city of Khabarovsk will be built by the Turkish company Limak-Marashstroy.




This statement was made by Konstantin Basyuk, the head the Board of Directors of JSC Khabarovsk Airport. The General contractor of the project was chosen through a tender which took place at the end of 2017, Basyuk added. He noted that leading construction companies not only from Russia but also from other countries participated in the tender. All of them had a required experience in building airports.

The contract with the Turkish contractor was signed yesterday, on March 14. It is planned that the company will allocate 5 billion rubles ($86 million) for the project implementation and about 4 billion rubles ($70 million) more will be contributed by Russian Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs and the Far East Development Fund. The commissioning of the new passenger terminal is scheduled for the third quarter of next year.
