Dutch architect Winy Maas to talk about modern housing at Kaliningrad forum

A well-known Dutch architect Winy Maas is going to appear at the Third Business Forum titled “Environment for Life: Everything about Housing” which is being held in Kaliningrad these days, the press office of the Construction Ministry told Construction.RU on Thursday.




The event organized by the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation gathered 700 representatives of regions’ authorities, as well as experts in the field of construction and architecture. The forum is devoted to the topic of housing development, which is seen as a driver for the economic development in Russian cities. That is why the organizers attracted leading experts in the field of architecture to discuss principles of creating modern housing and what it should be in the 21st century.

The founder of the Dutch MVRDV studio, an avant-garde architect Winy Maas, known as the co-author of a master plan of Greater Paris, will share his vision of residential projects with the event participants. His projects have always been distinguished by convenience and bright common spaces. Among other foreign guests of the event, American architect Jeffrey Morgan and his Spanish colleague Antoni Vives are worth mentioning.
