Interim measures on the assets of the Russian billionaire Suleyman Kerimov have imposed by the district court of Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus.

As written in "Vedomosti", it is presumed to be connected with the verdict of the London international arbitration court, which last year ordered Kerimov to pay $250 million to the ex-deputy of the State Duma, Ashot Egiazaryan, who paid this sum in the construction of the hotel “Moscow”.
Among the frozen assets, according to available data, are the football club "Anzhi", a network of cinema theaters, "Cinema Park", equity stakes in Polyus Gold and the companies which own the building in Butikovsky street, a share in the Four Seasons Hotel Moscow, and also the personal property of the businessman. Certainly, interim measures are limited to the sum announced in the London arbitration. However, the assets on which the interim measures have been imposed are in Russia, thus the claimant should appeal to a Russian court with a statement on the execution of the foreign court’s decision. So far the Russian court has made no decision and there is no threat to Kerimov's assets.
