Moscow. The Central House of Architects. Our special correspondent, Alexei Nevsky. On the 13th of May, the architecture festival “Golden Section 2015” opened.
The twentieth festival was organized by the Moscow Architects’ Union with the support of the Moscow and Moscow Region Government Committee for Urban Development and Architecture. The characteristic feature of this festival is the participation of both Moscow and Moscow region architects. The number of works presented has beaten all records. It was suggested that the participants give thought to the capital’s spaces from the point of view of postindustrial society. The main topic of the festival is “Moscow Restart?” The Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Construction, Marat Khusnullin, the Chief Architect of Moscow, Sergei Kuznetsov, the First Deputy Head of the Main Department for Architecture and the Urban Development of the Moscow Region, Alexandra Kuzmina, the President of the Moscow Architects’ Union, Nickolai Shumakov, and representatives from the scientific and creative unions took part in the opening. The program of event includes “round tables” on different topics, lectures by Russian and foreign architects, and the presentation of projects. The festival will last till May 21st and the best architectural projects and implementations will be awarded prizes.
