A modern oil-extracting factory with the capacity of 1 m tons of oil seeds has been put in operation in Tatarstan.




As the regional press office reports, First Vice-Premier Igor Shuvalov, acting president of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, RT Minister of agriculture Marat Akhmetov, RF State Dume Deputy Irek Boguslavsky took part in the solemn opening procedure.
The construction site of the plant is situated within the complex “Nafis-bioproduct” in Laishevo district of Tatarstan.
The enterprise is equipped with modern facilities of the Italian company Andreotti Impianti S.p.A.; it can daily process 1,900 tons of sunflower seed and 1,300 tons of rapeseed. The capacity of the whole complex achieves 1 m tons of oilseed a year.
The complex includes an oil refining plant and a bottled oil, mayonnaise and sauces production plant. Before the opening of the new plant, the capacity of GC “Nafis” in Kazan totaled 330,000 tons of oilseed a year. The plant produced 150,000 tons of non-refined oil and about 175,000 tons of oil a year.
The increase of the production capacity and updating of the enterprise allowed an increase in the number of jobs at the complex, up to 5,200.
