On August 28th, the construction of an ammoniac production plant for $1bln began in the industrial area of “Phosphorite” (Kingisepp) in the Leningrad region.
As the regional press office told Construction.ru, the JSC mineral-chemical company “Eurochem” will finance the construction work and equipment procurement to the tune of $1bln. The construction of a vast ammonia synthesis plant, liquid ammoniac storage, infrastructure and logistics objects will be carried out on the site. The work is to be completed in August, 2018.
The plant will produce about 1m tons of marketable ammoniac a year. It will be produced from natural gas, nitrogen and water.
