The “Direct Line” with Vladimir Putin will be held on the 14th of April and will start, as usual, in the afternoon by Moscow time, the press office of the Russian President announced on Thursday.

To remind you, the first such dialogue between the President and the country’s citizens took place on the 24th of December, 2001.

Then, over 400,000 questions were asked of the President. The last Direct Line was held on the 16th of April, 2015, and lasted 3 hours and 57 minutes. Over the course of that program, Mr Putin managed to answer 74 questions out of a total amount of 3 m.

There will be the possibility of asking a question of the head of the state by phone, by television link from the regions of Russia, by SMS or by posting a question on the program’s website.

From the previous years, it’s clear that the citizens of Russia are mostly concerned about social and economic issues, problems in the field of housing construction, utilities, and the situation on the international stage, particularly in Ukraine.

Following these interactive meetings, Vladimir Putin gives specific assignments to the appropriate governmental agencies and takes their implementation under his personal control.
