In 2015, the volume of private investors’ obligations under concession contracts in the Russian utilities and housing service has increased tenfold, to 70.8 bln roubles, in comparison with the previous year.

This is what the Deputy Head of the Russian Construction Ministry and the chief housing inspector of the country, Alexei Chibis, told the press in Moscow, reports our special correspondent, Alexey Nevsky. In Mr Chibis’s opinion, the number of concluded concession contracts has risen to 271 items in 2015 (i.e. 2.5 times).

It’s expected that growth rates will be higher this year. It should be said that, according to the RF Construction Ministry plans, about 80% of unitary enterprises will have been transferred into concessions, and several Russia-wide players will emerge in the sector of utilities and housing services.
