Monastery in central Moscow to be restored for RUB 580m

The Moscow city authorities are going to present to potential participants in tenders a contract for restoration of the Novospassky Monastery complex located in the center of the capital city of Russia, the Moscow Department for Competitive Policy told Interfax on Monday.




Initial cost of the contract is estimated at 584m roubles. The future contractor will have to carry out repair and restoration works of this cultural property site of federal significance situated at the address: Krestyanskaya square, 10, bulk 1. The commissioner is Moscow Restoration state public institution.

Public hearings over the bid will be held on the 7th of September at 13:00 in №9 Pavillion of VDNKh.

Novospassky Monastery was the first monastery to be founded in Moscow in the early 14th century. It is known for its strong connection with the Romanovs, the last imperial dynasty that ruled Russia.
