Tyumen region announces tender for $85m road construction

Automobile Roads Department of the Tyumen region, Russia, has announced an open tender for the construction of a road between the villages of Kommunisticheskyi and Unyugan located in the Khanty-Mansiisk autonomous district, according to materials published on the public procurement website.




Initial (maximum) contract price amounts to 4 billion 854,848 million rubles (approximately $85 million). The project will be funded from the budget of the Tyumen region. Bidding applications are accepted until March 31, the auction is scheduled for April 7. According to the tender documentation, the winner has to build a road with the length of 46 km over the course of 925 days.

The road construction will help develop the infrastructure of Oktyabr, Beloyarsk, Soviet district and the city of Nyagan, but also will reduce the distance between villages of Kommunisticheskyi and Unyugan by 100 km.
