Governor of the Novosibirsk region, Vladimir Gorodetsky, has given an assignment to the Department of Property and Land Relations to prepare alternative sites for construction of a waste sorting complex with a solid municipal waste landfill.
This is what the Governor Vladimir Gorodetsky told reporters on Tuesday. Earlier, the complex was planned to be built in Razdolnoye settlement in the Novosibirsk region, but the plans caused opposition from the public and environmental scientists.
“There are no doubts that landfills must be on the left and on the right coasts. But where exactly — we will consider options and resume a dialogue with activists and all others about which one should be final,” he said.
