UGMK-agro plans to invest about 5,5 bln roubles in the second phase of the greenhouse complex producing vegetables and greens, which is located in Sadovyi village near Yekaterinburg, said, Ilya Bondarev, director general of the company.
The greenhouses’ area will amount 17,6 hectares, including 3 hectares for green’s production. According to him, the second phase will start operating at full capacity at the end of 2017.
UGMK-agro has already invested about 300 million roubles in start-up of an energy center, which will supply the second phase of the greenhouse complex with economic power, said Bondarev. This will let the company to increase the volume of vegetable production 2,6 times, from the current 5,500 tons to 14,500 tons of tomatoes and cucumbers.
Apaert from that, the company will produce 1,280 tons of greens annually, what includes loose leaves lettuces, ruccola, basil, parsley etc.
