Kazakhstan is ready to transfer the management of free economic and industrial zones to companies from the United Arab Emirates, as well as it invites them to participate in privatization, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, said over the course of a meeting with the representatives of the UAE business circles in Abu Dhabi.
The President pointed out that 10 special economic zones and 20 industrial zones function in Kazakhstan.
“We are interested in enormous experience of the UAE in the field of the development of industrial zones. We are ready to place such zones under management of Emirates’ companies,” Nazarbayev stressed.
The head of the state announced to the UAE’s businessmen that Kazakhstan was carrying out a large-scale privatization of major public enterprises. Within the framework of privatization, some 700 assets have been put on auction.
