The criteria for receiving Russian citizenship for foreign investors and private entrepreneurs is to be changed.
As the press office of the Cabinet of Ministers told Construction.ru, the corresponding draft of the bill has been adopted by the governmental committee on legislation.
In particular, the criterion of annual taxes being equal to or more than 1m rubles is suggested instead of the criterion of an annual profit of 10m rubles for people doing business on the territory of Russia for more than 3 years.
Also, the draft introduces conditions of payments into the Pension Fund of Russia for foreign citizens. From the draft developers’ standpoint, it will not allow for people living here illegally to receive Russian citizenship.
The RF FMS will get the right to receive confidential information on investors and entrepreneurs’ fulfilment of the conditions of citizenship.
To remind you, investors whose share in the assets of a Russian legal entity was 10% or more could formerly receive Russian citizenship using a simplified procedure.
