On October 27th in Moscow, Vladimir Putin, in on-line mode, gave the start to construction of the powerful new ‘Ukhta – Torzhok – 2’ gas main in Komi.
The ceremony was devoted to the first weld. The length of the gas main will be 970 km, and the design capacity 45 bln m3 of gas a year. Gazprom plans to complete the object and to put it in operation by the end of 2019. The new line of the gas main will deliver gas to Europe and around the transit countries.
In this regard, Vladimir Putin remarked, the project is important both to Gazprom and to all of Russia.
