On December 1st an exhibition of the nominees of the professional competition for the best innovation project in the sphere of construction opened in the building of the State Duma.
As the press office of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities told Construction.ru, the exhibition was opened by the Director of the Ministry’s Department on Urban Planning, Oksana Garmash. “The development and use of new technologies and materials, as well as design solutions, is an obligatory condition for the development of the construction industry”, she said.
The main aim of the exhibition is to popularize achievements in the sphere of architecture, construction and engineering, as well as modern methods and management technologies in urban development area.
Projects implemented with the use of innovative breakthrough technologies as well as concepts for unrealized architectural projects are being presented at the exhibition.
The competition winners won prizes in 12 categories and included five multiflat residential houses in the Ust-Nera settlement of the Oimiakon district of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia); the Sobranie residential complex in Saint Petersburg;. The Evolution Tower in Moscow City; Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Amur region; the EKIYAT Tater State Puppet theater in Kazan; the Eightedges business center in Saint-Petersburg; and others.
The all-Russia professional competition for the best innovative project was arranged by the National Association of Researchers and Designers with sponsorship from the State Duma, the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities, the Russian Academy of Sciences, NOSTROY, and scientific and professional unions of the construction industry. 174 claims were made for participation in the competition. The exhibition will last until December 4th.
