Agents from the Russian bureau of Interpol have delivered Valery Chabanov, former head of a construction company from Rostov, who is accused of the embezzlement of 322m roubles of his co-financers’ money.




As Construction.ru was told by the press office of the RF MIA, the fraudster was taken into custody at the resort of Pattaya. The request for the arrest was sent from the Rostov regional department of MIA.

Chabanov raised 322m roubles for the construction of apartments in Rostov-on-Don, but his company did not have any permits for housing construction.  

Having received the money, Chabanov fled. A criminal case was opened and he was put on the international wanted list. The investigation continues.
