The Russian Federal Service for Military and Technical Co-Operation has prepared a draft agreement to deliver the latest S-400 air defense system to India.

This is what the deputy head of the Service, Vladimir Drozhzhov, said on Tuesday at the Defexpo India-2016 show. According to him, this document has already been forwarded to the Indian party, who will examine it and give their response.

To remind you, according to Indian media, the Council for Defense Purchases of the India's government has approved a project to buy the S-400, and the contract price might reach $6 bln.

The S-400 “Triumph” advanced Russian long range surface-to-air missile system was passed into service by the Russian army in 2007. It was designed not just to annihilate jets, medium-range cruise and ballistic missiles, but also to have a surface facility of 400 km.

China was the first buyer of the system.
