The construction of the Blagoveschensk – Heihe Bridge will start before the 2nd Eastern Economic Forum opens on the 2nd of September in Primorye.
This is what the governor of the Amur region, Alexander Kozlov, said on Thursday in an interview with RIA Novosti. The construction of a bridge across Amur, which has been discussed for 20 years, has at last got off the ground.
The Russian-Chinese company, an operator at the construction site which will put the object in commission, has already been registered in Chinese Harbin.
To remind you, according to the project, at the first stage a road bridge of the second category with two lanes of traffic will be built, and at the second, a railway bridge.
The construction time is 3 years. The project’s price is 18.8 bln roubles. The payback time is 10-15 years. The traffic capacity of the bridge until 2040 is 6.5m tons of cargo and 3m people.
