Russian President Vladimir Putin has told Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and the governor of the Novosibirsk region, Vladimir Gorodetsky, to find a source of financing for the construction of a new Ice Palace in Novosibirsk.
According to information published on the Kremlin's website, the President assigned a number of tasks following a session of the Sports Development Council.
Within the program of hockey development in the Novosibirsk region, sources of financing and terms of construction of a roofed sports object with artificial ice in the region's capital must be determined by the 30th of September, 2016.
Vladimir Putin has also assigned Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko to develop and endorse a set of measures to push forward the application for holding the World Hockey Championship of Youth Teams in 2022 in Novosibirsk.
