On Friday, a Russian court made the decision to confiscate the property of the former governor of the Sakhalin region, Alexander Khoroshavin, his spouse and one of his sons. According to the investigators, this property has been acquired on account of his fraudulent deals, which have netted him 1.1 bln roubles.
The Prosecutor’s press office has specified to Construction.ru the property that has been seized to be sold by the state: 4 elite apartments in different districts of Moscow with a total area of 596,200 m2, a 900 m2 luxurious villa in the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region, 4 land plots on the Rublevskoye Highway, with a total area of over 2000 m2, and 6 parking stalls in underground garages in Moscow.
Moreover, premium-class automobiles including a Bentley Continental and a Bentley Mulsanne, a Mercedes-Benz, and a Lexus have also been confiscated, as well as multiple pieces of jewelry. Among them are 195 collectors’ watches made out of precious stones under the brands of Breguet, Rolex, Vacheron Constantin, and Patek Phillippe.
Besides this, over 280,000m roubles, 6m US dollars, 388,800 Sw F, 727,570 euros, and 217,700 pounds sterling have been seized.
It should be remembered that this high-profile civil servant is accused of large-scale bribery.
