On Tuesday, an official groundbreaking ceremony was held at the construction site of a new timber mill located in the village of Veregonets.
A deputy governor of the Vologda region, Mikhail Glazkov, Head of the region, Yevgeniy Shashkin, and a director of the Cherepovetsles enterprise, Valeriy Pisarev, laid a foundation stone into the plant’s basement, the regional press office told Construction.RU.
A unique timber mill with a non-waste complex added-value wood processing is scheduled to be put into operation as early as the second half of 2017. In addition, fuel briquettes are also planned to be released by the plant.
By 2022, the timber mill is expected to reach a design capacity production of 100,000 cubic meters of industrial wood per year.
