The authorities of the Vladimir region, Russia, are considering the project of the construction of a plant producing construction materials near Rukav village.
Meanwhile, locals of the neighborhood protest against the facility’s construction and have already collected over 600 signatures for the relative petition, the local media reports. The residents don’t believe the investors claims that the production will be environment-friendly and fear harmful emissions.
The matter is that the plant will be located 300 m from residential buildings. However, the representatives of Biotum company, which will be engaged in the facility’s construction, assure the locals that there will be no production of bitumen at the enterprise, since this substance can only be produced at oil processing plants. The facility under construction is to be specialized in the construction materials manufacture on a basis of bitumen.
