The authorities of the North Ossetia, the Republic situated in the North Caucasian Federal district of Russia, intend to implement an investment project for the construction of a greenhouse complex on the territory of the Mozdoksky region.
The facility will occupy an area of 3 hectares, the republican government’s source told Interfax news agency on Tuesday.
According to the official, the project involves leasing out a land plot to the investor on the long-term conditions. The projected greenhouse complex will be specialized in tomatoes and cucumbers production.
The project, which was developed by the Economy Development Ministry and the Agriculture Ministry of the Republic, is estimated at 275m roubles ($4,2m). The main advantage of the project is the possibility of its implementation within the framework of the state support program in accordance with the republican state program entitled: “The Development of Agriculture and Regulation of Farm Products, Raw Materials and Food Markets” scheduled for 2014 – 2020.
