President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, doesn’t find it possible to carry out privatization of the housing and utility sector in the country in the near future, Interfax news agency reports on Thursday.
“I think that this sector must not be divided into pieces and privatized, at least now, here and in the near future,” said Lukashenko at a press conference with representatives of Russian regional media in Minsk on the 17th of November.
“Business will not achieve desirable results, if it works honestly and under control,” added Belarusian President.
Alexander Lukashenko believes that private companies can get out of the housing and utility sector only by “ripping off people”.
In addition, the President pointed out that the housing and utility sector is being modernized in the country under his personal control.
