Lithuania's project for transport stops wins St Petersburg contest

The results of “PlatForma” international contest for architects were announced in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg. The project entitled “Among the Stars” developed by young architects from Lithuania gained the lead, the contest’s organizers told reporters on Wednesday.




“Passepartout” project by architects from Finland took the second place, while Japanese architects with their “Rhythmic Rise” project came third.

The contest’s participants were offered to develop a concept to improve the appearance of public transport stops, making them unique and eye-catching.

Organizers invited architects from all countries with an age of up to 35 years. From the 13th of October, 251 applications have been submitted within the framework of the contest.
