Russian government will allocate 216 billion rubles for the development of agriculture, Vladimir Putin said on Friday over the course of a grand press conference, annually held by the President.
“We will have over 119 million tons of crops. There was nothing of that kind in the modern history of Russia,” - Vladimir Putin said and thanked the workers of the agriculture industry for “unique results” of their labor. Putin said that the agricultural machinery sector is showing excellent growth rates.
“This is one of those industries that pull our GDP,” he noted.
Answering the question about subsidies for agricultural machinery, the President said: “Anti-crisis measure cannot be permanent.” According to him, it is only necessary to help the industry to take to the “path of sustainable development”.
