More than 20 kilometers of metro tunnels are planned to be constructed in Moscow until the year 2020, director general of Mosinzhiniring JSC, Mars Gazizullin, told reporters on Friday.
“By the end of 2020, over 20 kilometers of double-track metro tunnels are scheduled to be built in Moscow. For this purpose, two tunnel boring machines with a diameter of 10 meters have been purchased,” Mr. Gazizullin said.
According to him, an average speed of tunneling will amount between 300 to 350 meters per month. Mars Gazizullin added that double-track tunnels were planned to be built at Kozhukhovskaya metro line, as well as a number of such section will be located on the Third interchange circuit.
