Construction of a multi-purpose complex Gazprom Center in the Belarusian capital city of Minsk has been freezed due to grave defects in the building’s foundation, Ezhednevnik newspaper reports citing its sources.
The article says that, according to several sources, the developed foundation has major defects, which don’t let to erect there such an ambitious skyscraper, let alone that the building is to be constructed on unstable soil. To be more precise, the defects are detected in the poles that bear the main load.
Experts claim that it’s unacceptable to erect a high-rise building upon these poles. At the same times, the faulted poles can’t be removed and the new ones can’t be driven in on their place.
