An overall wealth of Russian billionaires has increased by $29 billion after Republican candidate Donald Trump won the U.S. presidential elections in November last year. These estimates are provided by American magazine Forbes.

Chairman of Management Board of NOVATEK gas company, Leonid Mikhelson, topped the list. His wealth has risen by $1,9 billion and reached $18,2 billion following the U.S. presidential elections. In March last year, Forbes estimated Mikhelson’s wealth at $14,4 billion.

Forbes also singles out Director and a member of NOVATEK’s Strategy Committee, Gennady Timchenko. Since November 2016, the company’s stock prices surged by 16%, thus the value of the businessman’s stake of 23% increased by $1,8 billion.

The magazine also names a co-owner of PJSC SIBUR Holding, a Russian gas processing and petrochemicals company, Kirill Shamalov, but does not provide any specific numbers.

According to Forbes, within the specified time, incomes of Russian billionaires turned out to be higher than of any other richest persons in the world, including the USA.
