Russian court seizes 15 real property items owned by ex-Minister of Economy

The court in Moscow upheld a motion brought by investigators and seized over a dozen of real property items, as well as 564 million rubles, belonged to the former Head of the Ministry of Economic Development, Alexei Ulyukayev, a Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Igor Krasnov, told Kommersant newspaper.




He specified that the number of seized assets amounted to fifteen.

According to him, in recent times, an amount of seized property and monetary assets within the framework of high-profile cases totaled about 18 billion rubles. Thus, the court seized real property and vehicles from ex-Governor of the Sakhalin region, Alexander Khoroshavin, estimated at 320 million rubles.

As a reference, Alexei Ulyukayev is charged with receiving a bribe in amount of $2 million. The court ruled to place him under the home arrest.
