On Friday, operatives of the Chelyabinsk regional department of the Federal Security Service (the FSB) of Russia conducted a search and documentation seizure in the Committee for Property Management and Land Matters at the administration of the Sosnovsky district.
According to the local media reports, the searches are related to the allotment of a plot of land for the construction of “Lesnoy Ostrov” village.
Earlier, the Chamber of Control and Accounts of the Chelyabinsk region conducted an inspection and revealed multiple violations connected with land plot allotment.
“Dom-Universal” LLC was leased out a number of plots of land with an area of about 40 hectares intended for agriculture activity, without a tender.
After that, this plot of land was transferred into a category of “land settlement.” Later, a leasehold had been resold several times and afterwards the plot of land was bought out from municipal authorities, what inflicted a considerable damage to the budget.
