Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation plans to establish a company that will be engaged in providing technical support service to Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran.
The new company is expected to help enhance safety and efficiency of the NPP’s operation, RIA Novosti reports citing a statement released by the press office of Rosatom’s enterprise, the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute for Nuclear Power Plant Operation (VNIIAES).
“VNIIAES JSC, jointly with Rusatom Service JSC (Rosatom’s enterprise as well – editor note) started expert evaluation for the purpose to create an institution (the company) for engineering and technical support of Bushehr nuclear power plant,” the statement reads.
The Iranian party will receive a methodological and technical assistance in such areas, as the treatment of nuclear fuel, neutronic calculations and others.
